Music’s Biggest Night: The Grammy Celebration

Immediately following the Grammy telecast a guest list of 5000 including Grammy winners, nominees, industry execs, other A-listers and entourage descend into the Los Angeles Convention Center to celebrate ‘Music’s Biggest Night’.  Every year, The Recording Academy tasks a team to transform the Los Angeles Convention Center into a unique theme such as Masquerade Ball, Casablanca, Bollywood, Candyland or Carnivale, and every year the team is has excelled in creating a beautiful and dynamic environment.

Abby has been a part of the Celebration for 12 years, most recently as the Senior Catering Coordinator.  Putting on a party the size of three football fields with 58 food stations and 21 bar locations requires months of preparation.  She works hand-in-hand with the in-house team and Chef partner to develop the event menu, fully design food stations, and coordinate all staffing logistics.  Additionally, she oversees the bar management, ensuring that sponsor requirements and service expectations are fulfilled. 

Backstage, Abby has also had the opportunity to manage hospitality for talent such as Gloria Gaynor, Kenny Loggins, Boys II Men, TLC, Kool & the Gang and many others.
